New-build Project, Philip Banks
This was an installation-only project where Hummingbird was commissioned to fit a combination of plank and herringbone flooring over two floors.
The moisture content in the sub-floor was too high for the floor to be laid; therefore a liquid damp-proof membrane (DPM) was applied to control the moisture. This ensured that the project could proceed without delay.
The herringbone planks were used as a feature element in the centre of the room and to create a border detail. A 3mm antique brass strip was used to define the detailing and to provide the finishing touch.
